Rock and Republic Cosmetics Review/Swatches

I wanted to hurry and post this review because Rock and Republic will be on sale on Hautelook.com tomorrow! I always look forward to these sales since the sale prices are more than half off original prices. If you're mot familiar with Hautelook, it's a website that offers dailly sales on high end merchandise. You can score high end items for a fraction of the price. If you're not already a member, here is my invite link to join: http://www.hautelook.com/invite/MStewart978

I currently own only four items from Rock and Republic that I am in LOVE with.

The Classic Tinted Primer SPF 20 in Sophia

The hole at the top is where you stick a pin while you pump so that the products pumps out evenly.

I love that it has a pump!

This primer has a very creamy mousse consistency.

Blends out beautifully!

This has been my go-to primer since I got it in the mail. It's in a 1 ounce bottle with a convenient pump that produces the perfect amount for a full face. The product desciption says that it provides sheer coverage but you won't really notice this unless you already have close to perfect skin. I believe it comes in 3-4 colors but I can't remember if Sophia was the darkest one. This primer gives me a smotth surface for my foundation, helps to control oil, and keeps my foundation on all day. Oh, and I forgot to mention that it has SPF 20 which is a must for me!

Exhibition Pressed Powder in Angora

Packaging for the pressed powders and blushes are the same.

This has become my Holy Grail pressed powder! It's the perfect shade and texture for my skin. It's great for every skin type including the oily ladies. My favorite thing about this powder is that it does not oxidize like evry other powder does.on my skin. The pressed powder is finely milled and blends seamlessly into the skin. It comes in six shades where Angora is the second to darkest shade. A tip for choosing your shade is go a shade darker than what you think your shade is from the pictures online. From my research and experience, I found that these powders appear much lighter in person than they do in the pictures online. This is a great powder to wear over a moisturized face or to set liquid foundations.

Contrived Pressed Blush in Seduce

The Contrived blushes are very popular and hard to get your hands on. Usually, when Rock and Republic goes on sale, these blushes are the first to go. They weren't included in the last sale so I'm not sure if tomorrow's sale will include them. The blush I have in Seduce is a nice mauve color that is great if you want to wear something other than the typical neautral blush. As you can see from the swatch, it adds a nice sheen that makes your cheeks glow. If you can get your hands on the Contrived blushes I'd say go for it! They are a great addition to any collection.

Luxe Lipgloss in Train Wreck

I don't really have much to say about this lipgloss. I love the formula which is not sticky but I am not a big fan of this color. It's a translucent brown with gold glitters. If I had known it was more glittery than opaque I would not have gotten it. I also like that it has a doe foot applicator, so too much product doesn't come out. I will definately try these glosses in some brighter colors to see how I liked them.

For tomorrow's sale, I will definately be getting backups of the primer and pressed powder if they are available. What's on your wishlist?
